It has been the most striking feature of current political repression in Germany: police brutalizing protesters with extreme force. Especially in Berlin, police violence against political dissidents has become a regular occurrence. But what is behind this violence?

Anabel from the Arrest Documentation Unit (ADU) will be joining R A R live in the studio to discuss the specific role and function that police violence fulfills within systemic state repression in Germany today, starting with the repression of Palestine solidarity and expanding from climate activism to the police violence against anti-AfD protesters in Gießen this weekend.

ADU is one of the publishers of the report Repression Against Palestine Solidarity in Germany, which describes in great detail the different forms of repression utilized by the German state against Palestine solidarity protesters.
